Moscow, May 3 – RAPSI, Dmitry Shchitov. The Moscow Commercial Court has left without action until May 23 a claim filed by Chanel to reverse the judgment of the Russian patent authority, Rospatent, which ended the Egoiste trademark’s legal protection in Russia.
The court ruled that the claim lacked documents confirming the state duty payment in accordance with the established procedures, with only copies of the payment check and receipt submitted, which is not allowed by Russian law.
Earlier, the court said Rospatent adopted the decision to legally protect the trademark in 2004.
