MOSCOW, August 29 - RAPSI. Moscow Region investigators have completed their criminal investigation of three individuals suspected of impersonating security service generals, Moscow Regions main investigations directorate has reported.

According to investigators, a Moscow Region resident, 53, and two Muscovites, 48, posed as generals in the Federal Security Service (FSB) and Interior Ministry, and promised to appoint a construction companys director and his partner to high positions at the Russian Federal Highway Administration "Siberia" in exchange for 1 million euros.

The suspects did not intend to fulfill their promises, but were just out for the money, according to the Investigative Committee.

The businessman paid two million rubles to the suspects, but then came to police after he realized he was cheated.

The court issued an arrest warrant for the suspects after they were charged with large-scale fraud.
