MOSCOW, September 12 - RAPSI, Sergei Feklyunin. Continent Airlines applied for bankruptcy on September 9, the Moscow Commercial Court told the Russian Legal Information Agency (RAPSI).
Continent Airlines' 32 million ruble debt to Russian airports forced it to cease operations on July 29. Several hundred passengers were impacted by its flight cancellations. The airline had sold 37,000 tickets for flights up until mid-September.
The court received the airline's bankruptcy petition on September 9. A hearing date has yet to be scheduled.
