MOSCOW, September 14 - RAPSI, Natalia Belova. The Krasnodar Court admitted a lawsuit filed by Yelena Baturina against a former Moscow prefect and Olymp-2014 Ltd. developer for canceling a land purchase deal, the Russian Legal Information Agency reported.
Baturina is Russia's richest woman and the wife of former Moscow Mayor Yuri Luzhkov.
Baturina's Inteco development company acquired a 90-percent stake in Olymp-2014 for over 824 million rubles ($27.3 million) from Zinaida Sadovnikova in April 2007.
Yuri Khardikov, a former prefect of Moscow's North Administrative District, acted as Olymp-2014's representative. According to Baturina, Khardikov convinced her that Olymp-2014 owned five unfinished construction facilities in Sochi and land lots in the Krasnodar region. However, Baturina later learned that Olymp-2014 had no legal rights either for constructing facilities or land lots.
Baturina said that Khardikov and Sadovnikova deliberately misled her, as they knew the company did not own construction facilities and land lots.
Baturina is seeking to cancel the deal and recover 824 million rubles from Sadovnikova.
She also demands 100,000 rubles ($3,300) in compensation from each defendant.
