MOSCOW, September 15 - RAPSI, Dmitry Shchitov. A commercial court has upheld on Thursday Rado Uhren AG's lawsuit to prohibit Holmrook Limited from using its trademarks in domain names, court official told the Russian Legal Information Agency (RAPSI).

The Moscow Commercial Court has also awarded the Swiss company 50,000 rubles ($1,800) in compensation. The court will hear a similar lawsuit filed by Tissot AG on October 11.

Earlier, the court ordered Holmrook Limited to suspend providing other persons with the right to control the "rado.ru" and "tissot.ru" names until the dispute is resolved.
The Swiss companies requested the court to declare control over the domain names a violation of their exclusive rights to trademarks and trade names.

Rado Uhren AG and Tissot AG are Swiss watchmaking companies.
