MOSCOW, September 28 - RAPSI, Natalia Belova. The court postponed until November 23 its hearing of a bankruptcy petition filed against the insurer of Capital Tour, Russia's leading tour operator, the Russian Legal Information Agency (RAPSI) reported.
The Innogarant insurance company is the insurer of the Capital Tour travel agency. It has been operating since 2000. Its authorized capital is 1.65 billion rubles ($57 million).
PtoektService, the claimant in the case, earlier said Innogarant owed 206,500 rubles ($7,130) to the company. Its lawyer said on Monday that the insurer did not repay its debt.
The court postponed the case to allow Innogarant to inform the Federal Security Service about the bankruptcy hearing.
The Federal Service for Insurance Supervision said on February 16 that it received many claims against Innogarant. The insurance watchdog restricted Innogarants license on February 10. Meanwhile, the Federal Service for Financial Markets canceled the license on May 25.
Capital Tour was founded in 2003 as the first Russian full-service international tour operator. It is one of Russia's top three travel agencies. It sells medium- and high-budget tours to 40 countries via more than 20,000 travel companies in Russia, the CIS and the Baltic states.
