MOSCOW, October 3 - RAPSI, Dmitry Shchitov. The Chamber for Patent Disputes satisfied an appeal filed by Kremlyovsky Trading House to invalidate the decision on registering the Kremlyovskaya and Kremlyovskaya Stoli trademarks, the Federal Service for Intellectual Property, Patents and Trademarks said in its statement.
Kremlyovsky Trading House was established in 2000. It coordinates and organizes the supplies of products to enterprises falling within the jurisdiction of the president and the federal state power authorities. It also organizes official events.
The watchdog earlier satisfied an appeal filed by SPI IP CIS to register the trademarks under the 32nd (non-alcohol beverages and beer), 33rd (alcohol beverages) and 35th classes of the International Classification of Goods and Services.
However, the trading house disputed the registration with the Chamber for Patent Disputes.
In its objection against the registration of the Kremlyovskaya trademark, the trading house said the name is similar to the Kremlin's and contains elements depicting the Moscow Kremlin. This suggests that the trademark is related to the Moscow Kremlin, the trading house stressed.
