ST.-PETERSBURG, October 11 - RAPSI. An appelate court has upheld the Federal Tax Service's $20 million tax claims to a utility company, the court records read.
The Territorial Generating Company TGK-1 sued a tax inspectorate in January 2010. It sought to cancel the March 2, 2009 resolution adopted as a follow-up to the company's on-site audit over taxes calculation and payment for 2005-2006.
TGK-1 comprises 55 power plants in St. Petersburg, Karelian Republic, Leningrad and Murmansk Regions. Its aggregate electric power capacity is 6315 MWt, thermal capacity - 14362 Gcal/h.
