MOSCOW, October 19 - RAPSI, Natalia Belova. A commercial appeals court has registered the Moscow government's appeal against the lower-court's decision to collect $17.7 million in favor of a construction company for building a palace in a conservation park, the court told the Russian Legal Information Agency (RAPSI).

The Moscow Commercial Court ordered the Moscow government on September 14 to pay 548.073 million rubles ($17.7 million) in unjust enrichment to UniversStroyLux, but declined to recover interest equal to 22.23 million rubles ($718,000).

UniversStroyLux sought the payment for its restoration of the Tsar Alexis I palace in the Kolomenskoye conservation park under a public contract concluded in 2009.
The plaintiff alleged that not all its works have been paid because the project was unique and the design and budget documentation was modified on many occasions.

The company emphasized that the project has been commissioned and is used by the museum.

The wooden palace of Tsar Alexis I reopened in September 2010.

The palace was built in the mid-17th century.

UniversStroyLux is a Moscow construction company, which designs, builds and renovates properties and invests in construction projects in many Russian regions.
