MOSCOW, October 28 - RAPSI, Natalia Belova. The court will hear on November 23 an appeal filed by the Prime-TASS Business Information Agency (currently PRIME) against the dismissal of a lawsuit to have over 14,000 Moscow government documents published, the Russian Legal Information Agency (RAPSI) reports from the courtroom.
The plaintiff has challenged the Moscow government's decision to classify about 14,500 resolutions and directives issued by the Moscow mayor and government. The agency believes the decision restricted media access to information on the work of municipal authorities.
On July 14, the Moscow Commercial Court dismissed the PRIME agency's lawsuit because a similar lawsuit filed by the agency was being considered by a common jurisdiction court.
