MOSCOW, October 31 - RAPSI, Anna Shubina. The Moscow City Court is expected to try an Altyn jewelry holding top manager after the bill of indictment has been approved, the defense counsel told the Russian Legal Information Agency (RAPSI) on Monday.

Altyn Vice President Antonina Babosyuk has been charged with gold smuggling.

The lawyer also said the hearing date has yet to be scheduled.

The Federal Security Service opened a criminal case against several Altyn top managers for gold smuggling on October 5, 2009.

Founded in 1990, Altyn used to operate a wide chain of jewelry stores in Moscow, St. Petersburg and Omsk, as well as in Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and the United Arab Emirates.
