MOSCOW, November 2 - RAPSI, Alyona Yegorova. The Inteco construction company filed a cassation appeal against the Moscow government's refusal to recover from the Moscow government $4.248 million for the construction of a kindergarten, the court told the Russian Legal Information Agency (RAPSI).
Inteco is a diversified, leading Russian development company. The company operates residential construction, cement production, architectural design, and real estate divisions.
In early September, it was reported that Binbank owner Mikail Shiskhanov would purchase Inteco and its subsidiaries together with Sberbank Investitsii. The transaction was disputed in court by Viktor Baturin, an Inteco co-founder and the brother of Yelena Baturina, Russia's richest woman and the wife of former Moscow Mayor Yury Luzhkov.
Inteco sought to recover its expenses for the design and construction of the kindergarten near the Arco di Sole residential area.
The kindergarten was constructed in accordance with an investment contract signed between Inteco and the Moscow government. Inteco said pursuant to the concluded contract the company is entitled to compensation for the incurred losses.
The Moscow commercial court dismissed Inteco's claims in June. The court decision came into effect in August.
Inteco's lawyer said the Moscow government did not fulfill its obligations in full.
