MOSCOW, November 8 - RAPSI, Dmitry Shchitov. An appeals court has registered an appeal filed by Pravda.Ru against the dismissal of its $39,000 lawsuit against the RuTube website for distributing the director Andrey Karaulov's film "Khodorkovsky Pipes/Corpses," the Russian Legal Information Agency (RAPSI) reports from the courtroom.
The appellant challenged the Moscow Commercial Court's October 14 adverse judgment.
Pravda.Ru claimed that the defendant reproduced and distributed the film on its website on March 17.
Pravda.Ru is the founder of the online publication of the same name. It was established in 1999 by journalists who formerly worked for the Pravda daily after the editorial board split after the newspaper's sale.
