MOSCOW, November 28 - RAPSI. The Moscow City Court has dismissed an appeal filed against the court refusal to have LUKOIL vice president Anatoly Barkov undergo lie detection test in a high-profile car crash case in Moscow, the Russian Legal Information Agency (RAPSI) reports from the courtroom.
A car crash involving a LUKOIL vice president's Мercedes S500, occurred on February 25, 2010 in Moscow. Renowned doctors Vera Sidelnikova and Olga Alexandrina died in the crash. Barkov got light injuries. The car crash sparked a public outrage as many believed the LUKOIL top manager was responsible for the accident.
The Moscow City Court's judicial board has approved the district court's decision which upheld the investigator's refusal to have LUKOIL top manager Anatoly Barkov undergo lie detection test.
