MOSCOW, December 7 - RAPSI, Natalia Belova. A court has postponed until December 13 a $13.6 million lawsuit filed by state-run Russian Agricultural Bank against an alcohol distributor and a Moscow's major market, the Russian Legal Information Agency (RAPSI/rapsinews.com) reported from the court in Wednesday.

Founded in 2000, state-run Russian Agricultural Bank is one of five largest banks in Russia. Russian Agricultural Bank is a 100% state-owned bank regulated by the Central Bank of Russia.

Russian Agricultural Bank told the court that it granted a 400 million ruble ($12.8 million) loan to the Vinexim alcohol distributor in 2010. The Cheryomushkinsky market was a guarantor for the loan. The guarantee pledged four buildings amounting to a total of 2.5 billion rubles ($80.25 million) to secure the loan.

Russian Agricultural Bank claimed the early repayment of the loan after Vinexim failed to pay interest since May 2011. The bank then filed a lawsuit with the Moscow Commercial Court. The loan was set to mature on November 3, 2011.

The media reported in 2005-2006 that the Cheryomushkinsky market and Vinexim would co-invest the construction of a large multi-purpose center in south-western Moscow.

The business and shopping center, which would host an agricultural market, a hotel, offices, an entertainment complex and an underground parking area, was set to be constructed by 2007

However, the development project was never implemented.
