MOSCOW, December 7 - RAPSI. A court dismissed on Wednesday an appeal of administrative arrest filed by opposition leader Ilya Yashin, who was sentenced to 15 days in jail for his involvement in an unauthorized procession in central Moscow and disobeying the police on December 5, the Russian Legal Information Agency (RAPSI/rapsinews.com) reported from the court on Wednesday.

Thereby the 15-day prison sentence to Yashin has come into force.

The police detained over 300 people in central Moscow for unauthorized demonstrations on Monday night. Opposition arranged a mass rally to protest against the results of the parliamentary elections where United Russia, the ruling party, is the frontrunner.
