MOSCOW, December 27 - RAPSI. Moscow residents who have accumulated debt arrears can find out about any restrictions imposed on their exit from the country via a telephone hotline opened by the Bailiffs Service Moscow branch on New Year's Eve, the service reports.
A temporary restriction on the right to go abroad is one of the most effective measures to collect debts from bad payers. According to the service, Moscow bailiffs imposed over 24,000 temporary restrictions on the right to travel abroad this year. About 5,000 of them were placed on alimony dodgers.
"The hotline: 8 (499) 558-04-16 will work in Moscow from December 26 to 30," the report reads.
To obtain information an individual should give his name, date and place of birth. The restriction will be lifted after the debt is paid in full.
Earlier the service's head Ferdauis Yusupov said at a press conference that more than 22,000 people may be banned from going abroad for the New Year holidays this year.
He has also advised Muscovites to visit the government services website to make sure that they have no exit restrictions.
