MOSCOW, January 12 - RAPSI. The Supreme Court's board has upheld on Thursday the lower-court's judgment in a lawsuit filed by the St. Petersburg branch of the Just Russia party to cancel vote by mail, the court told the Russian Legal Information Agency (RAPSI/rapsinews.com).
The Supreme Court affirmed the Central Election Committee's legal act allowing people to vote by mail in the federal and local elections.
The Central Election Committee approved on October 5, 2011 a temporary vote-by-mail procedure applicable to the federal and local elections and regional and local referendums.
