MOSCOW, January 24 - RAPSI, Alyona Yegorova. A commercial court postponed on Tuesday until July 18 its hearing of Trio-Invest's lawsuit against the Assmann Beraten + Planen design office to recover $66.5 million, the Russian Legal Information Agency (RAPSI/rapsinews.com) reports from the courtroom.
Trio-Invest is part of the Miratorg agribusiness company and the owner of a warehouse complex consisting of 15,000 square meters of floor space, which partially collapsed in February 2008. It seeks 1.247 million rubles (439.8 million) in damages and 808 million rubles ($25.7 million) in compensation for lost profit.
Assmann Beraten + Planen is a German design office engaged in consulting and industrial design. Its Russian projects include the design of the Volkswagen assembly plant in Kaluga.
Established in 1995, Miratorg is a vertically integrated holding company and a major operator on the Russian meat market.
