MOSCOW, January 31 - RAPSI. Opposition leader Boris Nemtsov has been interrogated as investigators continue to probe the dissemination of his private conversations on the Internet, his counsel Vadim Prokhorov told the Russian Legal Information Agency (RAPSI/rapsinews.com) on Tuesday.
"Although we consider Nemtsov to be the victim in the case, he has not yet been granted any official status," Prokhorov said.
Russian web tabloid Life News posted last December audio recordings of phone conversations featuring Nemtsov and other opposition activists, in which they rather vulgarly discussed the rallies. Nemtsov, a leader of the unregistered Parnas party, used obscene words to describe citizen.
Requests were forwarded to the Investigative Committee, the Prosecutor General's Office and a watchdog to investigate the leaked conversations.
Prokhorov said the investigators have yet to arrive at an official conclusion about the incident, although it has been over a month since Nemtsov filed a petition to investigate the accident.
