MOSCOW, February 14 - RAPSI. A commercial court will hear on April 2 the Defense Ministry's lawsuit against Adidas to recover $3.9 million for the late sports wear delivery.
According to the ministry, it seeks the amount of fine, penalty and interest for defaulting in goods supply under a September 2010 government contract.
The judge asked the plaintiff if the contract really provides for three types of liability for one violation. The ministry's representative has disagreed with the statement.
Adidas presented its position on Monday, but it was not made public. The defendant has declined to comment on the lawsuit until a judgment is passed.
Adidas is a Russian subsidiary of Adidas Group, a world sports wear leader.
