MOSCOW, February 17 - RAPSI, Sergei Feklyunin. The court has registered the Siberian-based Vidstroy development company's $1.5 million lawsuit against the Dutch Erick van Egeraat Associated Architects (ЕЕА).
The ЕЕА is owned by renowned architect Erick Van Egeraat.
The plaintiff seeks to recover debt from ЕЕА for defaulting in contractual obligations regarding the design of a hotel and business complex in the Siberian city of Khanty-Mansiysk.
The lawsuit was filed on February 13. The hearing date has yet to be scheduled.
Media reported in 2007 that Vidstroy entered into an agreement with the Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Okrug to build a hotel and business center with a total area of 62,200 square meters designed by Van Egeraat.
The investment volume was estimated at 3 billion rubles. Vidstroy planned to finish the project in 2010. However, it was reported that the developer was expected to break the contract with Egeraat in 2009.
In Russia, Egeraat is known for the Sberbank Corporate University, Dynamo Stadium, National Library of Tatarstan in Kazan, Khanty-Mansiysk general plan and other projects.
