MOSCOW, March 13 - RAPSI, Diana Gutsul. Four lawsuits filed by former Bank of Moscow president Andrei Borodin have been transferred from the Tverskoy District Court to the Savyolovsky District Court in Moscow as previous defendant was replaced by the Kommersant newspaper, Borodin's attorney Alexander Arutyunov told the Russian Legal Information Agency (RAPSI/rapsinews.ru) on Tuesday.

Arutyunov noted that the court will hear lawsuits for Borodin and his wife's privacy violation as well as defamation lawsuits. The plaintiffs claim 500,000 rubles ($17,000) in each suit.

He also said the lawsuits have arisen out of the article entitled Cover-up in London published in the Ogonyok magazine on April 11, 2011, which allegedly spread false and defamatory information about Borodin's behavior during and after his divorce.

Borodin said in his lawsuits that the article infringes on his right to privacy.

Borodin and his former deputy Dmitry Akulinin have been placed on the international wanted list on suspicion of committing several official crimes when they headed the Bank of Moscow. The court issued arrest warrants for the both in absentia and they face long prison terms.
