MOSCOW, March 23 - RAPSI, Sergei Feklyunin. The Supreme Commercial Court has approved a decree explaining lower courts how to consider lawsuits contesting bank guarantees.

The decree is designed to build the legal practice on the matter, which will make it more difficult to invalidate bank guarantees.

Specifically, the document is expected to secure bank guarantee agreements containing some minor omissions, such as when a guarantee agreement does not include all the necessary provisions stipulated in the major contract secured by the guarantee, when a guarantee is issued for a shorter period than the liability term, or when a guarantee was not compiled in the correct written form.
