MOSCOW, April 9 - RAPSI, Diana Gutsul. The Kuntsevsky District Court in Moscow has ordered to collect $50,000 in rent arrears from Viktor Baturin for the Sochi city administration.

Baturin denied any explanations on the lawsuit.

The court resolved the case in the parties’ absence and satisfied the lawsuit in full.

The administration sought rent payable for the lease of a 7,800 square meter land plot. The land was leased to Izvestia Sanatorium in 2002. Baturin obtained the rights and obligations under the lease in 2006. He possessed the land until the lease was auctioned to another person in 2010.

Baturin is the brother of Yelena Baturina, Russia’s richest woman and the wife of former Moscow Mayor Yuri Luzhkov.
