MOSCOW, May 3 - RAPSI. The Prosecutor General's Office has stated on Thursday that it continues to prosecute self-exiled oligarch Boris Berezovsky for grave crimes committed as a member of a transnational criminal group. The office has promised to publish new information on his prosecution, which it claims to be pursuing together with its foreign colleagues.

Russian and foreign courts have already passed several guilty verdicts against Berezovsky and his accomplices. Several criminal cases are still under investigation, the prosecutors office said.

Meanwhile, Berezovsky has spared no effort in trying to mislead the public by stating that his prosecution in Russia is politically driven, the prosecutor's office stressed.

On April 28, media disseminated his statement denying the arrest of his yacht and real estate in France.

To disprove the statements, the Prosecutor General's Office has published extracts from several documents on Berezovsky used as evidence against him in the UK and Switzerland.
