PSKOV, May 15 - RAPSI. Supreme Commercial Court Chairman Anton Ivanov has voiced his support for setting different timeframes to hear cases falling into various categories. He made the statement during a roundtable discussion on the efficiency of considering civil and administrative cases.

"Time will be of essence all the same," he said.

Proposals on timeframes for reviewing cases that will fall into various categories may be prepared during a discussion on pretrial administrative and legal procedure reforms, he told the Russian Legal Information Agency (RAPSI/rapsinews.com). He stressed that the administrative procedure reform concept should be developed by late August upon the president's instructions.

Ivanov added that urgent cases should include cases that imply enforcement measures such as "the suspension of production, the ban on certain activities or administrative arrest."

He also stated that socially important cases such as compulsory treatment in a mental hospital fall into this category.
