TOMSK, May 18 - RAPSI. Russian commercial courts may move to the electronic circulation of documents by 2017, Igor Solovyev, Head of the Supreme Commercial Court's Informatization and Communication Department, said on Friday.

Tomsk is currently hosting a nationwide seminar of heads of commercial court information services. The seminar is focusing on issues connected with the development of the electronic system of document circulation, the holding of online court hearings, as well as issues dealing with the creation of a publically accessible online base of judicial acts.

According to Solovyev, in 2011 over 450,000 individuals and legal entities used the electronic system of document submission, and around 25,000 court hearings were held via a video conference call.
