MOSCOW, May 23 - RAPSI. The Supreme Commercial Court is not expected to establish a judges association, Supreme Commercial Court Chairman Anton Ivanov told journalists on Wednesday.
The Supreme Court earlier established the Russian Association of Judges, and it was reported that the Supreme Commercial Court was also considering establishing such an organization.
The Code of the Russian Association of Judges states that the association was established to support trial courts, Ivanov said at a commercial court judicial meeting on Wednesday. He emphasized that it is the personal choice of every judge to join or not to join the association.
Ivanov also told journalists that he will not join the association.
