MOSCOW, June 14 - RAPSI. The suspects in the second case on the Manezh Square riots in December 2010 have pleaded not guilty of inciting the riots and partially guilty of using force against law enforcement officers.
The suspects made the statement on Thursday at the Moscow Tverskoy District Court.
The first suspect Nikolay Dvoynyakov said he pleads not guilty under the Criminal Code's articles on inciting mass riots. He added that he was alone on the square.
The second suspect Vladimir Kirpichnikov refused to plead guilty of inciting riots and social hatred. He pleaded partially guilty of hooliganism and threatening to use force against law enforcement officers.
Two other suspects Vitaly Vasin and Grigory Bilchenko, who have been released on their own recognizance, partially plead guilty of hooliganism, though they deny they threatened OMON officers on the square.
The prosecutor mentioned the five individuals who were convicted under the first criminal case on the riots on Manezh Square.
According to the prosecution, the suspects in both cases committed almost all of the violations together.
The hearings will continue on June 19 when the first 10 victims and witnesses will be interrogated.
According to the prosecution, as many as 5,000 football fans and nationalists caused public unrest on December 11, 2010 in Moscow after a rally to commemorate FC Spartak fan Yegor Sviridov, who was shot dead on December 6, 2010. Thirty-two people were injured in the riots.
