MOSCOW, July 4 - RAPSI. Head of City Without Drugs fund Evgeny Roizman is determined to challenge in court the conduct of law enforcement officers who searched the fund's rehabilitation center.
The Investigative Committee has initiated several criminal cases into the fund's activity, including one into the death of a fund patients on charges of reckless homicide.
The center was searched and Roizman has accused the authorities of trying to close the fund despite the evidence in the cases against them.
The Interior Ministry has reported that the police found in the center seven young women, cut off bars and an isolation ward door and a key to handcuffs. After the search, they took the women and a young man to the police station. They did not have any documents with them.
Roizman wrote in his blog on Sunday that the center was stormed and he does not understand what the police want from him. Last week, he said the fund's rehabilitation centers were visited by police officers after a 29-year-old female patient died in mid-June.
