MOSCOW, July 4 - RAPSI. The Moscow Basmanny District Court has extended until November 6 the arrest of Andrey Barabanov on charges of taking part in the riots on Bolotnaya Square.
Clashes with the police flared up on May 6 during a mass opposition march across Moscow, which had been approved by the authorities.
Tens of protesters and police officers were injured. The police detained over 400 rally participants. The court has so far placed 13 individuals in custody for taking part in the riots. Several have been charged with calls for mass unrest.
One of the detainees was soon released without bringing any charges.
Maria Baronova, who was released on her own recognizance, was one defendant.
The custody of Alexandra Dukhanina, Yaroslav Belousov and Fyodor Bakhov has also been extended until November 6.
