MOSCOW, July 20 - RAPSI. The Khamovnichesky District Court has extended for six months the arrest of the members of the Pussy Riot female punk group on charges of committing disorderly conduct in a church.
The judge has passed the ruling upon the prosecutor's request.
On February 21, five masked group members performed a protest song titled "Holy Sh*t" at the altar of the Christ the Savior Cathedral in Moscow. A video of their performance was then posted on the Internet and incited public uproar. Group members Nadezhda Tolokonnikova, Mariya Alekhina and Yekaterina Samutsevich were arrested. They face up to seven years in prison.
