MOSCOW, August 6 - RAPSI. The investigative authorities suspect Dagestani Industry, Energy and Communications Minister Magomedguseyn Nasrutdinov of illegally misappropriating a gas company's property worth $6 million, according to the Interior Ministry.

The ministry said the suspect organized a transaction between Dagestaregiongaz, in which he served as the general director, and Daggaz, where he was the board chairman and a shareholder, respectively. Daggaz eventually received property from Dagestaregiongaz at a discounted price.

The investigation materials have been submitted to the investigative authorities.

Nasrutdinov has served as minister since March 2010. In 1997-1999, he was the director of Mezhregiongazs Dagestani subsidiary. In 1999-2002, he was Dagestaregiongaz's general director.
