MOSCOW, August 9 - RAPSI. The Russian Supreme Court dismissed on Thursday a Russian citizen's lawsuit against the Pope to recognize his ownership right to the Vatican, the court told the Russian Legal Information Agency (RAPSI/rapsinews.com) on Thursday.
The court considered Roman Lugovoy's appeal to establish his ownership right to the Vatican, which he claims to have inherited, the court reported.
The court did not specify the reasoning behind Lugovoy's claims.
This is not the first time Russian courts have considered such lawsuits.
Earlier this year, the Moscow Commercial Court dismissed Tatyana Barysheva's lawsuit to recognize her right to a share of the Moscow Kremlin; Dmitry Medvedev, the Russian government, Ministry of Culture and Federal Agency for State Property Management were the defendants in the case.
