MOSCOW, August 23 - RAPSI. General jurisdiction courts will broadcast hearings on the Internet, the Association of Lawyers of Russia reports on its website on Thursday.
According to the report, courts will participate in a large-scale project to create an open system of video hearings on the Internet. A special website will most likely be created where these videos will be shown without interruption. The project's details have not yet been released.
The Supreme Court has already opened the Justice information and analytical center to develop information publicity programs. Its tasks include the storage and automated processing of court information including case archives. It will also create a unified database of general jurisdiction court cases. General jurisdiction courts hear civil, criminal and administrative cases. They answer directly to the Supreme Court.
