MOSCOW, October 18 - RAPSI. Left Front coordinator Sergei Udaltsov, who is being prosecuted as a result of the probe into the circumstances portrayed in the "Anatomy of Protest-2" documentary, has been released on own recognizance, said Investigative Committee spokesman Vladimir Markin.
A case on charges of planning mass riots has also been initiated against Udaltsov's assistant Konstantin Lebedev and Leonod Razvozzhayev, assistant of State Duma Deputy Ilya Ponomaryov. Udaltsov is facing 4 to 10 years in prison. The suspects' homes have been searched.
The film makers of the documentary broadcast by NTV claim that the opposition is preparing a coup using funds from abroad. The film shows Udaltsov and his companions allegedly talking with the then Georgian parliament's defense and security committee head Givi Targamadze, who is said to be experienced in planning "colored" revolutions in Georgia and Ukraine, as well as mass riots in Belarus.
The investigation into the film has established that the voice in the scenes filmed by a hidden camera was Udaltsov's and that the meeting shown in the film took place in Minsk late June, 2012.
