MOSCOW, October 22 - RAPSI. The Supreme Commercial Court has refused to satisfy Rimis' application to reconsider the ruling to recover over $10,000 from the company for illegally publishing Robert Sheckley's works, the court spokesperson told RAPSI on Monday.

On August 19, 2011, the Moscow Commercial Court upheld Exmo's lawsuit to recover from Rimis $30,000 in compensation. On February 2, the Moscow District Federal Commercial Court amended lower court rulings, reducing the compensation amount to 370,000 rubles ($11,956).The plaintiff maintained that the defendant published the book, "Mindswap," in 2011, which included 10 of Sheckley's works.

The exclusive rights for publishing and distributing these works in Russian belong to the plaintiff, which is confirmed in a license contract with Exmo License Limited.

The defendant considers the claims groundless and not subject to recovery, as the compensation amount is overrated.
