MOSCOW, 18 January - RAPSI. Oksana Grigorieva plans to sue the lawyers that represented her interests in negotiating her divorce from actor Mel Gibson, alleging that the attorneys gave her an irredeemably raw deal, TMZ reported Thursday.
According to the US gossip giant, Grigorieva accuses her former attorneys Ron Litz and Daniel Horowitz of negligence for having advised her to sign a bad divorce deal in 2011.
The deal reportedly left her with $750,000 cash and a house until her daughter with Mel reaches 18, but prohibited her from pursuing any futher legal action.
According to TMZ, Grigorieva alleges that if not for bad legal advice, she would have never signed a contract divesting her rights to the couple's property.
Grigorieva reportedly filed her claim against the attorneys pro se.
Gibson has seen his share of legal trouble in the past.
In July 2006 he was pulled over in Southern California and found to have a blood-alcohol level of 0.12%. The legal limit is 0.08%. Thereafter, the traffic stopped escalated into an anti-Semitic tirade. In his report, the sheriff's deputy quoted the actor as saying: "The Jews are responsible for all the wars in the world."
Gibson was ultimately convicted for driving under the influence and ordered to attend Alcoholics Anonymous meetings, pay a $1,300 fine, and carry out community service.
A US court later expunged his conviction. Having satisfactorily carried out his duties, he was deemed eligible to have the conviction removed as a first time drunk-driving offender.
