MOSCOW, January 18 - RAPSI, Sergei Feklyunin. Nissan has asked the Moscow Commercial Court to preliminarily enjoin a Russian computer company's from using the CLR INFINITY trademark, the court told the Russian Legal Information Agency (RAPSI/rapsinews.com) Friday.
Preliminary hearings have been scheduled to begin February 12.
According to the Federal Service for Intellectual Property, Patents and Trademarks, the Compulink computer company holds the rights to the brand in three classes of the Nice Classification.
These provide the company with the right to sell goods, including computing machines, data-handling units and computers, and services, such as book publishing, research engineering, engineering, design and drawing activities, expert evaluations, material testing and industrial design.
Compulink's rights to the trademark are protected in Russia until 2015.
The Nissan affiliate Nissan Jidosha Kabushiki Kaisha has filed another lawsuit against USP Compulink, which has not yet been processed, as well as lawsuits against Yust-Konsalting (Nizhny Novgorod) and Sun Innovations (Novosibirsk), which work in computer and spare parts production and sales.
The Japanese Nissan is a major international vehicle manufacturer producing luxury cars under the Infinity brand.
