MOSCOW, February 13 - RAPSI, Sergei Feklyunin. Cyprus-registered Bockmer Ventures Limited filed a lawsuit on Tuesday with the Moscow Commercial Court against Sergei Polonsky's former company Potok & 0458 (formerly Mirax City), a court representative told RAPSI.
The spokesperson did not provide information on the nature of the litigation or the sum involved.
Business media earlier reported that Bockmer Ventures Limited, which is said to represent the interests of Polonsky's co-investors, sent a notification to Potok demanding the payment of over $47 million, or the provision of premises to the same amount in the Federation Tower of the Moscow City business center. Bockmer said that otherwise they would take Potok to court over the issue.
The court has not yet accepted the lawsuit or set a hearing date.
Mirax Group (later renamed Potok8) was founded in 1994. The real estate developer's major projects include the Federation Tower in the Moscow City center and luxury residential neighborhoods in central Moscow. In early March 2011, Mirax founder Sergei Polonsky told journalists that he had left the business and that the company's board of directors had decided to close the Mirax brand. In June that same year, Polonsky withdrew from the operational management of the Potok Group. Shareholder Maxim Temnikov was appointed the group's managing partner.
In mid June 2012, Polonsky signed an agreement with partners/shareholders specifying his intention to sell all his stakes in all the companies based on a fair and honest appraisal to ensure the further development of the corporation and its projects.
