MOSCOW, October 10 (RAPSI) – The Chelyabinks District Commercial Court has registered a lawsuit filed by Avtopromsnab company in which it asks to declare the Chelyabinsk Metallurgical Plant (Mechel Group) bankrupt.

The factory’s net loss in the first half of 2013 grew 9,5 times – from 443 million rubles to 4,2 billion, the company’s yearly report states. The profits dropped for 11,7% - to 42 billion rubles from 48 billion a year before. 

Mechel is one of Russia's leading mining and metallurgical companies.
