MOSCOW, October 29 (RAPSI, Maria Petrova) - The Moscow City Court on Tuesday postponed the hearings of Anna Politkovskaya's murder until November 7, RAPSI reports from the courtroom.

The hearings thus were postponed for the sixth time in a row over quarantine in the pre-trial detention where one of the defendants is being held. The judge said that Sergei Khadzhikurbanov may be transferred to another prison for this reason.

Moreover, two new attorneys have been joined to the case, the judge added during the hearing.

Novaya Gazeta newspaper journalist Politkovskaya was shot and killed in her apartment building on October 7, 2006. Her murder has been linked by some experts to her coverage of human rights abuses in Chechnya.

The five suspects include former police officer Sergei Khadzhikurbanov, Rustam, Ibragim, and Dzhabrail Makhmudov, and their uncle Lom-Ali Gaitukayev. The investigators believe that Rustam Makhmudov committed the murder with the help of his brothers Ibragim and Dzhabrail, their uncle, and Khadzhikurbanov.
