MOSCOW, October 8 (RAPSI) - The former wife of Interros president and Norilsk Nickel general director, Vladimir Potanin, addressed Moscow’s Presnensky court with a counter-claim, asking the court to divide the ex-couple’s property, her representative Filipp Ryabchenko told RAPSI on Wednesday.
The claim was filed with the court on Wednesday during hearings in the current Potanin case. Potanin filed a lawsuit against his former wife, Natalia, which the court has now postponed until October 31. Both lawsuits were combined into one trial and will be reviewed in a closed session per Potanin’s request.
Ryabchenko said that the counter-claim concerns Natalia’s suit on dividing the marital property, but did not give more details.
Potanin filed for divorce in February. At the end of June, the same court upheld his motion to change the alimony payment schedule in favor of his underage son, granting Vladimir Potanin the right to put 50% of the alimony in 15-year-old Vasily Potanin’s account until he reaches age 18. Natalia appealed against both decisions, but the district court overruled both appeals upholding the lower court’s decision and they came into force.
According to Forbes, Potanin’s fortune in 2013 was $14.3 billion.
