MOSCOW, February 6 (RAPSI) – On February 5, the Kiev Administrative Court of Appeals ruled against a motion filed by the government and state-owned oil and gas company Naftogaz against the decision to invalidate government resolutions obliging the country’s largest corporate consumers to buy gas exclusively from Naftogaz, UNIAN news agency reports.
In November 2014, the Ukrainian government adopted a resolution obliging the largest industrial, electricity and heat supply companies to buy commercial amounts of gas exclusively from Naftogaz starting December 1, 2014.
In late 2014, the Kiev District Administrative Court declared illegal and invalidated government resolutions that obliged 90 largest industrial consumers in Ukraine to buy gas from Naftogaz until March 2015.
Naftogaz Ukraine produces over 97% of oil and gas in the country.
