MOSCOW, April 13 (RAPSI) - Russian construction company Sibmost that specializes in the production of bridges filed an appeal against the judgement ordering it to pay Microsoft Corp 1 million rubles (about $19,000) for copyright infringement, according to court records.

Sibmost’s offices were inspected in late October and early November 2013 by the economic crimes department of the Interior Ministry, and pirated software was detected.

The Novosibirsk Regional Commercial Court in early March upheld a lower court ruling in favour of Microsoft.

The case had been rescheduled several times as the parties requested extra time to negotiate an amicable agreement, but the case finally reached court.
