MOSCOW, August 11 (RAPSI, Diana Gutsul) - Russian opposition activist Leonid Razvozzhayev, who was  sentenced to 4.5 years in prison for participation in 2012 rallies in central Moscow, has been moved out the prison in Krasnoyarsk and his current whereabouts are unknown, his attorney Dmitry Agranovsky told RAPSI on Tuesday.

“We found this out by accident when we tried to transfer money to him. We were informed at the prison that he is no longer there,” Agranovsky said.

In early July, it was reported that Razvozzhayev is at a Krasnoyarsk prison. Initially, he was supposed to serve his term at a prison in the Irkutsk Region.

Over 400 people were arrested and scores injured in the Bolotnaya Square protest that turned violent in May 2012. Dozens were later charged with inciting mass riots and using violence against law enforcement officers.

Riot organizers Razvozzhayev and Sergei Udaltsov were sentenced to 4.5 years in prison each, based partly on testimony by Konstantin Lebedev, who was sentenced to 2.5 years in prison but has been released on parole.

Udaltsov is currently serving his term in the Tambov Region.

Other participants received prison terms from suspended sentences to four years. Several defendants were pardoned; one is undergoing compulsory mental treatment.
