MOSCOW, August 13 (RAPSI) - Russian investigators have opened a case on humiliation of a person’s dignity after an incident at a Nizhny Novgorod café involving the family of famous model Natalia Vodianova, RIA Novosti reports on Thursday.
As it was earlier reported, a conflict between the model’s mother and the café’s owner broke out after he asked Vodianova’s sister, Oksana, who experiences autism and cerebral palsy, to leave the place.
According to the Investigative Committee, the young woman and her nanny entered a café to have something to drink but had to leave before their order arrived. The café’s manager not just asked the unwanted customers to leave but even called security. The nanny had to call Oksana’s mother.
A case has been opened on “public humiliation of a person’s dignity based on his/her belonging to a specific social category by using violence or threatening with violence.”
“Investigators will find out the café owner’s motives when he demanded that the disabled person and her nurse and mother leave the premises. Also, the actions of the security guards will be examined who, without any embarrassment or confusion, readily fulfilled the boss’s order,” the committee’s statement says.
Natalia Vodianova is a famous model and founder of the Naked Heart Foundation, which provides help to children with special needs.
