MOSCOW, August 21 (RAPSI) - Managers of a Russian Far East company face charges for bribing Vostochny Cosmodrome subcontractors, RIA Novosti reports on Friday citing the Main Military Prosecutor’s Office.
The indictment approved, the criminal case materials have been sent to court for a hearing. The co-defendants have been placed in detention and their property seized.
The Vostochny Space Center is under construction near Uglegorsk in the Amur Region in the Russian Far East. The first carrier rocket is planned to be launched this year, and the first manned mission is scheduled for 2018. The facility is to be finished by November 30, 2015.
