MOSCOW, August 28 (RAPSI) – Finland authorities have confirmed that Russian citizen has been detained in the country at the request of the United States where he is accused of computer fraud, Reuters has reported.
According to Reuters, Maxim Senakh is a Russian citizen who is accused of infecting computer servers in Minnesota with malware resulting in a financial loss worth millions of dollars. U.S.authorities have 45 days from the date of Senakh's detention to file an official extradition request.
Russia condones actions of Finland and the United States and calls Senakh's detention "another demonstration of the illegal practice of detaining Russian citizens abroad launched by U.S. authorities", Reuters has reported.
